Tender for O&M of Tenu Bokaro H.E. Project (1 x 1000 KW)
The Bihar State Hydroelectric Power Corporation (BHPC), an organisation mandated to tapping of hydro-power potential in Jharkhand and Bihar has been making endeavours to set up facilities for generation of electricity in eco-friendly manner even in remotest areas. The Corporation which has seven plants in Bihar has cumulative experience and expertise acquired over two decades of generating hydropower at affordable cost and maximum efficiency as reflected in its performance.
Projects of the BHPC under execution in Jharkhand are Chandil (2x4 MW), North Koel (2x12 MW), Sadani (2x500 KW), Lower Ghaghri (2x200 KW) and Netarhat (1x50 KW). Electricity generated from these plants will be evacuated to the JSEB grid or distributed in nearby villages.
The BHPC has also installed five portable generating sets at Nindighagh, Jalimghagh & Gautamghagh. In addition BHPC set up two generating sets of 1x200 KW at Nindighagh & Jalimghagh supplied by the UNDP.
The BHPC has just completed its Tenu Bokaro Project (1x1000 KW) in Jharkhand.
The Corporation is looking for agencies with appropriate experience and expertise having adequate manpower and resources for operation and maintenance of the Tenu-Bokaro SHP (1x1000 KW).
Offers in two parts (Part-I -Technical & Commercial and part-II- Price) are invited in sealed covers from reputed/experienced contractors/ agencies/companies, having adequate experience of operation and maintenance of hydel power projects.

The tender documents may be obtained from the office of the Nodal Officer, Jharkhand during office hour from 20th June to 30th June 2008 on payment of cost of tender documents plus Rs.200/- (Rupees two hundred) only as postal charges (if applicable) in cash or by demand draft in favour of "Bihar State Hydroelectric Power Corporation Limited", payable at Jamshedpur.
The cost of tender documents - Rs.10,000/ (Rupees ten thousand) only.
