Implementation of four small hydroelectric power projects on the Gandak Canal system namely Dhoba (2x1000 KW), Katanya(2x1000 KW), Mathauli (2x400 KW) and Barbal (2x800 KW) has recently been approved by the State Government. These projects will be executed by obtaining financial assistance in the form of loan from the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD).
With the completion of these projects the total capacity created on the Gandak canal system with assistance of the Japanese Overseas Economic Cooperation fund (OECF) and NABARD will be of the order of 25 MW. The OECF assisted Valmikinagar HEP (3x5 MW) has been in operation since 1995-96 and the Triveni HEP (2x1.5 MW) executed with loan from NABARD is undergoing pre-commissioning tests.
Sealed separate tenders for each of the following packages in two parts,(“Part-I Technical & Commercial) and “Part-II (Price) are invited from reputed and experienced manufacturers or their authorized companies/agencies of hydel generating sets for detailed survey, design, manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of main generating equipment with auxiliaries alongwith civil work including operation and maintenance for one year after successful commissioning ON TURN-KEY BASIS.

Tender documents may be obtained from the office of the undersigned Bihar State Hydroelectric Power Corporation Ltd., Sone Bhawan (2nd Floor), Birchand Patel Marg, Patna - 800 001 on any working day during office hours on paying the cost of tender documents in the form of Bank Draft plus Rs.250/-(Rupees two hundred only) for postal charge (if applicable) in favour of “Bihar State Hydroelectric Power Corporation Ltd.” payable at Patna.
The sale of tender document, submission of tender/offer and the opening of the tenders will be as per the following programme:-

Notwithstanding anything above, the Bihar State Hydroelectric Power Corporation Ltd., reserves the right to assess tenderer’s technical and financial credential and capacity of executing the above work on turn key basis and should such assessment call for rejection of any tender in overall interest of BHPC the decision of the BHPC in this regard shall be final.
The tender without Earnest Money as per the requirement in Tender Notice/documents shall be outright rejected.
The undersigned reserves the right to split and reject any or all tenders without assigning any reason thereof.
