SHORT NOTICE INVITING TENDER

The Bihar State Hydroelectric Power Corporation (BHPC) has to execute 17 SHPs on the State's canal systems availing loan from NABARD. Two of these, Dhelabagh (2x500 KW) and Nasriganj (2x500 KW) have been commissioned and 13 are in various stages of construction. Remaining two Dehra (2x500 KW) and Sipaha (2x500 KW) on the Sone canal system have to be taken up for execution and completed within 7-8 months. Pre-construction survey essential for design of these two SHPs has been completed and approved by AHEC, IIT, Roorkee which will facilitate manufacture of E/M equipment.

As such, sealed separate tenders for each of the following packages in two parts "Part-I Technical & Commercial" and "Part-II - Price" are invited from reputed and experienced/manufacturers or his authorized company of Hydel Generating Sets for design, manufacture, supply, erection, testing & commissioning of main generating equipments and auxiliaries on turn-key basis and operation and maintenance of power house for one year .

2. The tender document may be obtained from the office of the Chief Engineer (Elecl.), Bihar State Hydroelectric Power Corporation Ltd., Sone Bhawan, Birchand Patel Marg, Patna – 800 001 on any working day during office hours on paying the cost of tender document plus Rs. 250.00 (Rupees two hundred fifty) only for postal charge (if applicable) in cash or in the form of Demand Draft in favour of Bihar State Hydroelectric Power Corporation Ltd. payable at Patna.

3. The sale of tender document, submission of tender papers and the opening of the tenders will be as per the following programme:

(i)	Sale of tender document.	Upto 5.6.08
(ii)	The date of submission of tender papers.	3.00 P.M. of 23.6.08
(iii)	The date of opening of Part – I – Technical & Commercial of tender papers.	4.00 P.M. of 23.6.08

4. Notwithstanding anything above, the Bihar State Hydroelectric Power Corporation Ltd. reserves the right to assess tenderer's Technical & Financial ability and capability of executing the above work on Turn Key basis and should such assessment call for rejection of any tender in overall interest of Bihar State Hydroelectric Power Corporation Ltd. the decision of the Bihar State Hydroelectric Power Corporation Ltd. in this regard shall be final.

5. The tender without Earnest Money as per the requirement in Tender Paper shall be outright rejected.

6. The undersigned reserves the right to split and reject any or all tenders without assigning any reason thereof.
